Yoga for Motherhood

This workshop delves into how the physical practice of yoga and yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda (literally translating as the study of life, the ancient Indian science of living healthfully), can help sustain you as you move into motherhood. We will explore poses to bring you back into your body postpartum, self-care practices to support you and your family, and ways to share your yoga with your baby to deepen your own practice.

The workshop will end with a sweet flow centered on the journey into motherhood.

Although the workshop focuses on mamas in the immediate postpartum period (the first 42 days after birth, as defined by Ayurvedic texts), mothers at any point in their journey are welcome, including those wanting to conceive and mamas-to-be, who will benefit from pre-planning, and mamas at any point in their motherhood journey, as the practices can be adapted to support you outside the 42-day postpartum window. Support people, including partners, friends, and family, as well as yoga teachers and medical professionals working with new mothers, are also encouraged to attend.
